Beexco Bulk Portland cement is largely used in the USA. Known as the original “general purpose” product, it is used in a variety of applications from concrete, mortar and render, to the manufacture of precast units.

Our top-quality Portland cement is created by burning together an accurately chosen mixture of raw materials that include alumina, lime, silica and small amounts of other materials, this forms a clinker. The clinker is then mixed with calcium sulfate which controls the setting and is ground to produce cement of the desired consistency. At the grinding stage, up to 5% of additional minor ingredients may be added such as fly ash, limestone or granulated blast furnace slag.

Beexco can offer a range of bulk cement solutions in a number of bag sizes, starting from 1.5 tonnes - we have the capability to supply any quantity up to 45,000 tonnes. Our products can be available in a bag with a flat bottom or with a discharge chute.

Cement is a finely ground mineral powder made from the raw materials marl, clay and limestone. It is mixed with water to serve as an adhesive that binds gravel, hard rock and sand in concrete. When cement is applied it hardens and stays in a solid state. To guarantee the essential level of stability and processability of the material upon application, the characteristics of the cement must always consistent.

There are different classifications for cements depending on their composition and early and final strength. Some cements are made up of 100% clinker which release high amounts of CO2. As an environmentally friendly alternative there are composite cements that have part of the clinker substituted with other raw materials, e.g. limestone, ground slag or fly ash. This is done to reduce CO2 emissions and conserve natural resources.

The characteristics of cement can be adapted by using additives, this enables different types of cement to meet varied application desires. A necessity in the construction industry as each project requires specific qualities.
