About Beexco Rebar Products
The reinforcing bar (rebar) is a tension device used to strengthen and support concrete under tension. It is a steel bar or a mesh of steel wires that significantly increases the tensile strength of concrete. The deformation shape of rebar has lugs, ribs or indentations to prevent risk of slippage and allowing it to securely bond with the concrete.
Using high quality steel will guarantee that your construction projects are built safely and securely, as well as meet all the legal requirements. To ensure the bars resist the effects of corrosion they are coated with an epoxy resin. Although concrete is very strong in compression, it is relatively weak in tension. Therefore, rebar is built into it because it carries the tensile loads and prevents the concrete from cracking or breaking apart.
Rebar is used widely in construction and gives structures better durability. Reinforcing steel comes in various shapes and sizes, at Beexco we supply number 8, number 12 and number 18 also known as T8, T12 and T18. Minimum orders start at 27 tonnes, with the ability to order up to 45,000 tonnes.

What exactly is T8, T12, T18
Number 8 or T8 rebar is made of a durable carbon steel compound, it is a high-quality reinforcement bar that is used for medium to heavy commercial applications. This large diameter rebar can be used for a variety of projects such as retaining walls, piers, columns and beams, caissons, high rise transfer slabs and more. The physical characteristics of T8 rebar includes a weight per unit length of 2.67 pounds per foot (3.982 kilograms per metre), a nominal diameter of 1.000 inches (25.4 millimetres) and a nominal area of 0.79 square inches (509 square millimetres). Number 12 or T12 reinforcing bars are most commonly used in hollow or dense concrete blocks.
Number 18 or T18 rebar are the largest and strongest. They are best suited for large-scale construction projects such as parking structures, marine facilities, large buildings, bridges etc. It is essential that reinforcing bars which will be used near water have an epoxy coating to avoid corrosion. The notable characteristics of T18 rebar is a weight per unit length of 13.6 pounds per foot (20.284 kilograms per metre), nominal diameter of 2.257 inches (57.33 millimetres) and a nominal area of 4 square inches (2581 square millimetres)
